Shepherd is a story about the essence of being human set in a future - it is about a girl lost - living in the past/present/future.

Plot outline

Shepherd 2154, a feature film, is set in a world where the Northern Hemisphere is no longer habitable. Struggling to survive in a dystopian future, Eden, a 16 year old girl, comes across an old tourist map that has an image she has been dreaming about; but when she is faced with leaving the only life she knows to follow the map, she must accept her dreams and memories, as a way to uncover who she is in this world. Only then can she find a future. The project will be entirely shot in the Waikato using locations the region has to offer, including the Waitomo Caves, the West Coast beaches, harbours, bush tracks and terrain. The sets will be built in Hamilton in the Generator Room at the Matangi Factory - Business Park.
